The Northwoods of Wisconsin is one of the Midwest’s premier fishing destinations. You’ll find thousands of lakes and dozens of rivers, providing visitors with endless fishing and boating opportunities. Vilas County boasts more than 1,300 lakes. Langlade County offers 840 lakes, 225 streams (including 395 miles of trout streams) and 200 spring ponds. Oneida County is home to hundreds of lakes, including the vast, untouched Willow Flowage. Forest County has more than 800 lakes, including 82 trout streams. Lincoln County is blessed with 726 lakes and 246 streams and rivers, including the Wisconsin River. Musky, pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye and panfish are common throughout the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Boaters and water skiers will find plenty of open water for playing.
